Our Design Services
BoardMaker was a popular development tool for printed circuit boards and it is still a good tool to use today for many simple PCBs. Tsien have now stopped offering support on this tool. However there are many companies that have an extensive back catalogue of designs that were developed with these tools. Unfortunately none of the development tools on the market today can open BoardMaker files or import their designs. Some of these tools offer Gerber imports but these will only import as ‘images’ and dont carry any electrical connectivity on the import.
Harlow Online Services have an active BoardMaker 3 Development system so that we can open existing designs that were created in either BoardMaker 2 or 3. BoardMaker 2 did not have a link between the circuit diagram tool and the PCB design tool so if these are required we will need to copy your circuit over into BoardMaker 3. For simple design changes where a fully linked circuit is not required we can edit the circuit in PDF format and manipulate the PCB netlist to implement changes.
